Embracing the Shadow Leads to Becoming Whole
Full Moon in Scorpio 5/12/2025 12:55 pm 22 degrees 12 minutes
We are learning to become inwardly secure by deep diving into our emotional worlds. This is the darkness, the parts of us that we or others have deemed unsuitable. These parts are alive and well in our subconscious, driving repeated patterns and projections into the world to be seen.
When we suppress parts of ourselves, they fester and become distorted and ugly. Oftentimes, we pick up habits that help us hold the ugly down. This is the source of our addictions, projections, and shame.
As the old paradigm slips away, we are left with its shadows deep inside our subconscious. Our thoughts, our values, and our beliefs are still affected. Uranus in Taurus has been breaking apart the values embedded in us due to our conditioning. The values of our past culture did not accept all of us. Therefore, we did not accept ourselves.
Mercury in Taurus aligns our thoughts to a new set of values as we all work to accept the whole self. Jupiter in Gemini is expanding our perceptions to include what has been hiding beneath the surface. Embracing all parts of us helps us journey into the future self.
The Sun in Taurus brings light to a new set of values. As we move from seeing ourselves as separate to seeing ourselves as whole, we must embrace our Shadow and our inner child. It is our true self that we separated from in childhood. It brings the wholeness of who we are.
Moon in Scorpio opposed Sun in Taurus
The Moon is our inner world. It is who we see ourselves as, and it is where we seek internal security. It represents our ego selves.
Scorpio is about metamorphosis and evolution. Scorpio includes the energy of empowerment through merging with whatever one perceives as powerful. It is about exposing anything hidden. This includes genetics and quantum physics. Emotionally, it refers to deeply hidden emotions that affect our behavior and keep us stuck. Its shadow side is disempowerment.
The Moon in Scorpio refers to becoming inwardly secure with uncovering the deep-seated emotional attachments that have kept us emotionally stuck. It is about empowering ourselves through exposing hidden emotions that have kept us from growing. This is a signature that allows us to gain empowerment.
The Sun in Taurus is about self-actualizing our values, what life means, and becoming self-sustaining and self-reliant. It includes authenticity, healthy self-esteem, and the ability to meet your needs.
The opposition is an integration aspect that completes the original intention of beginning a new cycle of inwardly and outwardly valuing life in a new way. Including the way we value ourselves. At the full Moon, we bring these new values into our relationships to expose where we have hidden emotions that have kept us disempowered.
Moon opposed Sun/Uranus conjunction
The Sun and Moon illuminate our inner emotional fields to uncover deep, unconscious emotional attachments to worn-out values and bring them to the surface where they can be seen, worked through, and transmuted to empower ourselves. These energies help us break free of old values and replace them with self-actualized new ones we are adopting. The involvement of Uranus brings a shocking element to this alignment. Uranus is associated with the higher mind and trauma responses carried through the DNA. It can erupt in a realization that shocks the nervous system but ultimately empowers us to evolve.
Moon trine NN, Saturn, Neptune
The Moon in Scorpio refers to becoming secure and seeing ourselves more clearly through uncovering hidden emotional patterns that have kept us stuck. The NN in Pisces refers to our future identity aligned with the spiritual concepts of acceptance for what is, compassion for ourselves and others, forgiveness of ourselves and others because we all make mistakes, and universal love.
The new phase conjunction between Saturn and the NN refers to the beginning of a new cycle of reality where our future selves and the reality we frame for ourselves carry a Piscean tone. Neptune in Aries brings the spiritual concepts to a new exploration of self-discovery.
The disseminating trine between the Moon and the Neptune, Saturn, NN conjunction is a strong aspect that compels us to bring our deeply seated emotional patterns to the surface and into the social realm. This could look like all hell breaking loose. Still, ultimately, it helps us to heal the emotional limitations that prevent us from actualizing the Piscean perspective.
Moon sesquiquadrate Venus
The Moon in Scorpio allows us to become inwardly secure while unearthing our emotional limitations to empower ourselves. We usually try to hide the deepest parts of ourselves because we fear non-acceptance. The unconscious emotional limitations are our shadows. As we bring them to light and embrace them, their power over us is transformed.
Venus in Aries allows us to discover new values to guide us into the future. We are learning to value ourselves and meet our needs differently. As we discover what is important to us, we hold those new values close. We will love ourselves differently, and ultimately, our relationship to others will change.
The sesquiquadrate begins the disseminating phase, where we place the uncovering of our vulnerabilities into the social realm to discover our needs and how to meet them in a new way. This is an uncomfortable process. Finding someone we can trust and hold space by listening to what we have to share can be a helpful process. Journaling is also beneficial. The point is to allow the repressed to become conscious.
Moon Sextile SN
The SN in Virgo refers to our past identity that sees itself through the lens of separation. As such, we repressed parts of who we were to be accepted into our families, peer groups, and our societies. The Moon in Scorpio is attempting to bring those repressed parts of ourselves to the surface.
The opening sextile between them is a supportive energy that allows us to slow down to incorporate and internalize the energy of the conjunction. The new cycle allowed our current self to re-familiarize ourselves with how we used to be. Energies from the past will have resurfaced for us to look at and internalize the repressed emotions.
Finger of God: Moon, Chiron, Jupiter
The "Finger of God" aspect comprises two inconjuncts and a sextile. It is a fated aspect that denotes an unconscious awareness. It is unrelated to the current experiences, yet it points out a destined future.
The Moon in Scorpio is the vertex, the fated aspect. Uncovering repressed emotional patterns that have kept us stuck is the goal. The parts we do not see are the healing of a collective wound that prevents us from showing up as our true selves, and the inner knowing and intuitive aspects of our expanding consciousness. These blind spots create many crises that require self-analysis and adjustment. The sextile between Chiron and Jupiter reflects a supportive energy that can help us internalize our ability to uncover repressed emotional patterns.
Sun conjunct Uranus
Uranus in Taurus is breaking apart values that no longer serve our evolution. The Sun in Taurus helps us self-actualize the new values we have developed since the New Moon. The conjunction is a new phase, referring to the beginning of a new cycle of breaking free from old values and self-actualizing new ones.
Sun semisquare Venus
The Sun in Taurus refers to the self-actualization of personal values. It includes expression of authentic self-love and self-respect. It also consists of a baseline of what you will and will not accept from others.
Venus in Aries is about exploring new values and learning to relate to oneself in ways that meet personal needs and assure optimal survival. It is a trial-and-error exploration where new things are tried and likes and dislikes are determined. Ultimately, the learning is to internalize self-love and to increase the ability to meet personal needs.
The last semisquare is the beginning of the balsamic phase. It is when unfinished processes get completed relative to the original intention. The original conjunction occurred under a year ago, in June 2024, when both planets met in Gemini. The intention was to begin a new cycle of self-actualizing a new relationship with the self and others through gathering a new perspective of reality. At the last semisquare, we finish the cycle by exploring new values to guide how we relate to ourselves, our new needs, and how we meet them.
Sun-Uranus sextile NN
The Sun-Uranus conjunction is a new phase conjunction, referring to the beginning of a new cycle of breaking free from old values and self-actualizing new ones. The NN in Pisces refers to our future identities that see themselves as a part of the whole. The energy of this future self encompasses compassion for the self and others, forgiveness, acceptance, and universal love.
It is a first sextile between them. This is an internalizing and establishing energy where we break free from an external value system and incorporate personal values that align with those of the future self.
Sun-Uranus trine SN
We are beginning a new cycle of self-actualizing a new value system and fracturing from an externally imposed value system. The SN in Virgo refers to the past identity that focuses on the details of reality. This myopic view of life does not consider the bigger picture (Pisces). It reduces the whole into its individual parts. Then, it sorts those parts into a hierarchy of importance. With this view, humanity has divided its parts into those that are good enough and those that are not.
Collectively, we are moving away from feeling not good enough and achieving a balance between how we bring Spirit (the whole) into form. This balance looks like compassion for self and others and forgiveness for perceived mistakes.
The trine between the two is a disseminating trine. It is where our past identity, which feels inferior or superior, breaks free from the external values that cause us to have poor or inflated self-esteem. We disseminate this into the social sphere and become an inspiration for others.
Mercury's ingress into Taurus
Mercury, the planet of perception and communication, has moved into Taurus. Taurus is about survival, needs, and values. Our thought processes turn inward to perceive what we may need, our new values, and most importantly, how we value ourselves. Communicating these ideas helps to usher them into this reality.
Mercury conjunct Chiron
Mercury is still under the influence of Chiron. Chiron helps us to heal the collective wound of showing up as our true selves. Our perception of our true selves is now being incorporated into our new system of values.
Mercury in Taurus helps us to speak this perception. We are beginning to understand who we are and to align our thoughts with the values that resonate with showing up differently. We start to speak about our values and perceptions from a place of oneness instead of separation.
Mercury-Chiron square Pluto ® Mars opposition
Pluto and Mars are finishing their opposition. Pluto, the undercurrent of our evolution, has assumed a retrograde motion. The retrograde slows down the process, allowing the individuation to be internalized as it accelerates our transmutation. It helps us to attach to our individuality and throw off the chains of our conditioning. Mars in Leo helps us to act from the heart. Acting from the heart allows us to be authentic and creative.
There is the pendulum effect as we swing back and forth between authenticity and breaking free from our conditioning. The integration of the two is in a T-square to Mercury.
Mercury aligns our thoughts to a new value structure. Perceiving and communicating the new values helps us to align the heart and the mind into a cohesive unit that can guide us into acting from a place of authenticity and individuality.
As the ruler of the SN, Mercury points out that we have seen ourselves through the lens of separation. It has been due to our perception of our inherent value. That is now changing, and we are seeing ourselves quite differently.
Venus's ingress into Aries
Venus in Aries begins the incorporation of new values into our reality. Aries is about rebirth and a new cycle of self-discovery. We are starting to explore who we are becoming and the developing value system. Our likes and dislikes are changing. What we need for our survival is changing. Most importantly, how we value ourselves is changing.
Venus conjunct Neptune, Saturn
Saturn is the crystallizing energy that helps us create our reality. As Saturn completes its journey through Pisces, we have gained the inner resiliency needed to create a new reality based on Piscean values. Neptune in Aries is a strong energy that brings Piscean values into the world to be explored. Neptune carries with it the ability to dissolve all creations that are not aligned with the higher values of Pisces.
Venus in Aries is bringing these new values into the world. We are exploring what it means for each of us. We are trying new things to determine our likes and dislikes, exploring different ways of survival, and valuing and finding new meaning in life. Together, these energies coalesce into new values that carry a meaning beyond the meaning of life we have been experiencing, and the ability to create a new reality.
Venus, Neptune, Saturn sextile Pluto ®
Pluto retrograde is accelerating our individuality. It helps us burn through emotional attachments that have been limiting and keeps us from evolving. It happens through a slowing down process where we can internalize and connect with our limitations and transmute them, thereby accelerating the process.
The Venus, Neptune, and Saturn conjunction is in a new sextile to Pluto. It helps us to withdraw from the external to focus on creating new values, exploring what gives us meaning, and learning what kind of reality we want to create for ourselves. These energies support each other because as we transmute the emotional attachments, we empower ourselves to find our individuality. This frees us to seek new values that are meaningful to us.
Venus-Neptune trine Mars
The Venus-Neptune conjunction in Aries begins to explore the change in values we incorporated as Venus traversed Pisces and conjuncted with Neptune. The Piscean values differ from those we have been conditioned to hold in our external world. The journey through Pisces dissolved those values and aligned Venus with the values of compassion, forgiveness, acceptance, and universal love. We are now exploring the new values in real time.
Mars in Leo is about our actions. It is about how we act out Pluto's desire on Earth. Pluto retrograde is asking us to slow down and look at the emotional attachments we've had that keep us stuck and prevent us from evolving into our true selves. Mars is asking us to act from the heart. It requires us to discover what gives us joy and allows our authenticity.
The trine to Neptune is a first-quarter trine with Mars. The Mars-Neptune conjunction in April of 2024 in Pisces dissolved our past way of acting and aligned us with acting from a place of higher meaning. At the square, last September, we made different choices to perceive our actions differently. As we approach the exact trine, we integrate the changes and act from our heart.
Mars sesquiquadrate NN
Mars in Leo refers to acting on desires that arise from the heart. It is about acting with authenticity. Leo represents our creativity and our inner child. It is the ability to self-actualize what gives us joy. The NN in Pisces represents the future identity that is aligned with Source. It identifies itself as part of a whole.
The first sesquiquadrate refers to the beginning of the adjustment period, where we are learning to humble ourselves to incorporate others into our consciousness. There is a lot of fear related to feedback from others. In this case, we have begun the process of thinking with our hearts. It has been successful but putting it into our relationships needs adjustment to accommodate others' hearts.
Mars semisquare SN
Learning to think with the heart is in a balsamic phase to acting from a place of identifying ourselves as separate from the whole. The last conjunction between Mars and the SN was in October of 2023 in the sign of Libra. The intention was to begin a new cycle of identifying ourselves and how we act with the external world.
At the semisquare, more practice is needed as we move from the old identity to the new one. Part of the difficulty may be that we still have responsibilities in the old way. If we try to satisfy both the outer responsibilities and the desires of the heart.
Jupiter square Saturn, Neptune, and the Nodal Axis
The stellium between Saturn, Neptune, and the NN refers to the birth of a new identity that holds Piscean principles. This being can create its own reality and manifest the Piscean principles into a new reality.
Jupiter squaring the nodal axis refers to incorporating a new way of being that requires an expansion of perceptions. There will be a pendulum effect between the old way of seeing ourselves as separate and identifying as an essential part of a whole. To resolve this issue, a focus should be placed on the new way of self-identifying as a necessary part of the human organism.
Jupiter sextile chiron
Jupiter in Gemini refers to the expansion of our consciousness. Each of us has a different perspective of reality. Culturally, our perspectives differ. As we evolve and our awareness expands, we become aware of the perspectives that others hold. Integrating the Eastern and Western perspectives has given many of us a more holistic worldview. All perspectives can be valid. Increasing our awareness allows us to accept our own worldview.
Chiron in Aries refers to healing the wound we all carry, which keeps us from experiencing our natural selves. We have been very other-oriented, to the point where we will self-sacrifice as a trauma response. The nodal journey through Aries and Libra helped us to become aware of this wound and to orient ourselves back toward ourselves.
The sextile between Chiron and Jupiter is applying toward a first sextile of the crescent phase. The crescent phase is to slow down and bring in the information collected in the new phase.
The purpose is to establish and maintain the new information inside the self. Our expanded perspective of the truth is being consolidated regarding the wound of self-sacrifice. These planets support this ultimate goal of breaking free from our limitations.
Uranus sextile NN, Saturn, Neptune
Saturn represents the energy of crystallization. It is the structuring principle, or the container. Pisces is the "everything" and the substrate from which all things are manifested. Saturn in Pisces allows us to create structure from the substrate. This structure is a creation of our own making from our personal authority.
The NN in Pisces refers to the future self that is aligned with a higher meaning associated with the Piscean concepts of compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, and universal love.
Neptune in Aries represents the birth process of the new self. We are leaving a place where we have become comfortable, and being pushed out into something new, the ultimate anxiety of separation.
The stellium refers to the birth of a new identity that holds Piscean principles. This being can create its own reality and manifest the Piscean principle into a new reality.
Uranus in Taurus refers to sudden disruption or breaking free from outdated survival patterns. Taurus is about how we survive in these bodies on Earth. It aligns with what we need to survive. The needs translate into values.
The sextile is new regarding the NN and Neptune. The future identity is aligned with compassion, forgiveness, acceptance, and universal love, and the beginning of showing up to explore these concepts requires effort. It will be necessary to withdraw from the external environment to focus on incorporating our individual way of holding these concepts.
Regarding Saturn, it is the last sextile, where breaking free from outdated values is nearing the end. We have created a new structure for our new identity, and transitioning from our past identity to the new one is possible yet easily resisted. The energies support the birth of the new self and the fracturing of old values.
Pluto ® trine SN
Pluto retrograde in Aquarius is the bottom line in evolution. As Pluto retrogrades, we are integrating and individuating from the past paradigm. The retrograde is accelerating the journey by reviewing what we have learned. The review helps us to see the limitations and to transform them. Pluto intends to individuate and free us from the emotional limitations that have kept us from evolving.
The SN in Virgo refers to a shift away from identifying ourselves through the lens of separation. It is in a first quarter trine aspect to confronting and transmuting the individuation process by becoming our authentic selves and meeting life from our hearts.
The last time Pluto and the SN made a conjunction was in March of 2019 in the sign of Capricorn. The intention was to begin a new cycle of identifying with the transmutation of the societal structure. The "crisis in action" square between the two planets occurred in July 2023, when the nodal axis shifted into Aries and Libra, and Pluto was at the anaretic degree of Capricorn. We had to make different choices to begin moving away from identifying ourselves with the external world.
At the trine, we put the lessons of the square into everyday action and begin the process of healing from the discomforts of hierarchy and seeing ourselves as separate from the whole.
Pluto ® trine Uranus
Uranus in Taurus refers to the breaking apart of values associated with the dissolved societal norm. Pluto retrograde in Aquarius refers to the confrontation and transmutation of emotional attachments that keep us from evolving. During the retrograde, we reflect on our emotional limitations. We experience the attachments over and over again to expose them and transmute them.
The polarity point of Pluto in Aquarius is Leo. Becoming our true selves through being directed from our hearts is the intention of this alignment.
Uranus is the current ruler of Pluto. It points to how Pluto will transmute. Breaking free from our conditioned values will help us all to individuate. This retrograde has us reflecting on our attachment to external values to bring them into our awareness.
Pluto stations retrograde May 4th
Pluto retrograde symbolizes the acceleration and liberation from emotional attachments and mainstream conditioning. It suggests that the soul has had lifetimes of constriction and desires to break free from those emotional limitations. Pluto carries the ability to uncover and transmute the deepest emotional limitations that have followed the soul for lifetimes. These deeply buried emotions become our shadow aspects. In the sign of Aquarius, the purpose is to expose our individuality by bringing to our consciousness those hidden parts that have kept us stuck. Pluto will remain retrograde until October, giving us ample time to do the work.
