Full Moon in Capricorn 7/03/2023 7:38am 11 degrees 18 minutes
The backdrop:
Pluto is retrograde and has moved back into Capricorn. Here we will revisit our attachments to the outer authority and structure that are no longer serving us. More transmuting of this energy will help to develop the inner authority we will need when Pluto moves permanently into Aquarius at the beginning of 2024. Pluto is still squaring the nodes; we are still experiencing a back-and-forth movement between our emotional attachments that are no longer serving us and our need to emotionally align with our self-reliance and self-sustainability. To resolve this action of moving back and forth between these emotions, we all need to focus on our inner emotional attachments that are limiting us. This means addressing any fears we may have associated with transmuting the deep emotional attachments we have to allowing the outer authority to dictate our reality.Â
Jupiter is in a new phase conjunction with the NN. This points to the emotional growth curve toward self-sustainability and is associated with our own inner truth and worldview that is beginning to expand. What beliefs about our freedom beyond our current reality are beginning to shape our new awareness?
Mars and Venus are conjunct in Leo, as we are completing a cycle of expressing our need to self-actualize and doing the action of self-actualizing.
Sun Cancer opposition Moon in Capricorn
The Sun is in Cancer where we are shining our light through the lens of our own self-image and sense of inner security. The Moon is the planetary ruler of Cancer. Cancer is the sign that focuses on our inner sense of self that is created through repetition of action and circumstance. What we have experienced repeatedly becomes who we see ourselves as…where we feel emotionally secure. With the Moon in Capricorn, we are learning to feel secure and emotionally mature. Emotional maturity comes through taking responsibility for our inner sense of security. This means a sense of self protection, by setting boundaries for ourselves that allow us to feel emotionally regulated. With the Sun in opposition to the Moon we are learning to actualize the integration of our emotional security through setting boundaries for our own protection into the way we shine our light into the world. Placing our sense of safety and maturity outside of ourselves prevents us from maturing emotionally. This alignment is bringing into focus where we have placed the boundaries of protection outside of ourselves, and what we can do to shift the protection from outside ourselves to the inside, and where we can begin to develop a sense of protection through our own authority.
Moon trine NN Taurus disseminating trine
The moon represents our current state of inner security and sense of self. The NN represents the evolution of this, our future state of inner security and sense of self through the lens of meeting our own needs, being self-sustainable, and focusing on what we personally value. The disseminating trine is speaking toward establishing the energy of personal responsibility for our emotional protection through setting personal boundaries, resulting in inner emotional regulation within the social realm, this includes our mates, family members, and our bosses. This identification with our personal responsibility and authority is what we need to emotionally evolve toward being self-reliant and self-sustainable and able to meet our own needs.Â
Moon Trine Jupiter disseminating
A part of the current energies is aligning the inner state of becoming emotionally mature through taking responsibility for our own sense of inner security through our own beliefs and truths about becoming self-reliant. What is possible when we are contemplating how to become self-reliant? As we begin to align our emotional maturity with these truths, we become an inspiration for others to do the same.Â
Moon Sesquiquadrate Mars first quarter
This full moon is helping us align our inner sense of self with our own protection through placing boundaries with others. It is related to acting to align with our own purpose, to validate what we feel from the heart, and to actualize it. This can cause tension or fear as the new imposition of our will may not be taken in smoothly by others and will require a bit of self-adjustment to incorporate the environment and others.Â
Moon opposition to Sun /Mercury conj.
Our sense of inner security through setting personal boundaries and taking responsibility for our own inner emotional state is being integrated into actualizing this new way of thinking and processing information.
Moon Sextile Saturn
Our sense of inner security through setting personal boundaries is being supported by Saturn in Pisces. As the outer authority we have been conditioned to give our authority to begins to dissolve, it is replaced by our own personal sense of authorship through taking responsibility for our own personal boundary setting, and the subsequent development of emotional maturity.
Sun conj. Mercury New phase
The new phase conjunction between the Sun and Mercury reflects the beginning of self-actualizing a new way of thinking and seeing the world. We are beginning the process of gathering information through this new lens and incorporating the new information into our sense of inner security.
Sun Sextile Jupiter
Self-actualizing our new self-image is being supported by the expansion of our beliefs to have the ability to meet our own needs and to become self-sufficient and self-sustaining. Here we are preparing to step into a new cosmic role…where we are creating our own identity based on our new sense of purpose, our own values, as well as personal authorship, through declaring our personal boundaries.
Sun Square Chiron Aries Crisis in consciousness
The self-actualization of our purpose related to our new self-image creates some tension with respect to the wound that each of us carries concerning the ability to take a new direction of self-exploration. The tension is associated with our beliefs. Do we continue to believe that we are stuck in the current reality, or do we believe that we can make changes?
Sun semi square Mars
The self-actualization of our purpose related to our new self-image is in a new phase. We are clinging to this new sense of freedom that we have been exploring. We are beginning to enter the energy of Taurus. Here we may begin to withdraw from the action of pushing onward as we begin the process of internalizing this new beginning for ourselves.
Sun Trine SN
The emotional attachment to our past identity is in a flow state with our sense of purpose that is aligned with our new self-image. Where past emotional issues have been revisited over the last year and a half, and we have resolved many of them, and are becoming empowered, this is in the flow to our new self-image and purpose. This is where we begin to integrate the original intention of transmutation of our identity.
Sun Trine Saturn disseminating trine
The transcendence of the outer authority is accelerating its purpose to individuate our inner authority. We are now feeling the strong urge to individuate our sense of authority as a door opens toward our new goals that are aligned with an authentic sense of purpose and fulfills a new self-image. Here we become an inspiration to others as we step through the new door.
What does it all mean?
It means that we are still revisiting life from the point of view of the outer authority. We are still experiencing a back-and-forth movement between our emotional attachments that are no longer serving us and our need to emotionally align with our own self-reliance and self-sustainability. To resolve this action of moving back and forth between these emotions, we all need to focus on our inner emotional attachments that are limiting us. This means addressing any fears we may have associated with transmuting the deep emotional attachments we have to allowing the outer authority to dictate our reality.Â
This full moon is shining the light on our inner sense of security as it aligns with our inner sense of personal authority. Taking hold of our personal authority leads to emotional maturity. We will do this through protecting ourselves through setting boundaries. As we learn to manage our emotional insecurities through boundary making, self-care and personal responsibility, we will begin addressing the back-and-forth movement between being emotionally attached to an outer authority to meeting our own emotional needs through becoming more self-reliant and self-sustaining.Â
The emotional growth curve toward self-sustainability is associated with our own inner truth and worldview that is beginning to expand. We are self-actualizing a new self image, by becoming emotionally mature and it is being supported by the expansion of our beliefs to have the ability to meet our own needs and to become self-sufficient and self-sustaining. Stepping through this doorway can inspire others to do the same. Self-actualizing our new self-image is being supported by the expansion of our beliefs to have the ability to meet our own needs and to become self-sufficient and self-sustaining.
The evolution of our inner emotional security is found through meeting our own needs, being self-sustainable, and focusing on what we personally value. By establishing personal responsibility for our emotional protection through setting personal boundaries, it will result in inner emotional regulation within the social realm; this includes our mates, family members, and our bosses. This identification with our personal responsibility and authority is what we need to emotionally evolve toward being self-reliant and self-sustainable and able to meet our own needs.Â

Nodes of Mercury, Venus, and MarsÂ
The nodes represent the past influence and the future expression of the planets. The past influence of Mercury is associated with gathering information about our true purpose and our sense of authenticity, and how to self-actualize it. This information gives rise to the current Mercury placement.
The transiting Mercury is in a new phase conjunction with the Sun. Where we are gathering information about our new self-image and the expression of it. Here we are integrating and becoming secure with our personal authority. As we integrate this new sense of self, we must begin the process of a new way of gathering and communicating information about our reality.Â
The future of our gathering of information about our reality and communicating it is associated with a completion of the gathering cycle. We will have what we need to begin the new self-image.
The past influence of Venus is associated with how we relate to ourselves, how we get our personal needs met and how to actualize this. We began the process of aligning our needs with our self-image during the new moon. We are now completing this cycle of actualizing it.Â
The current Venus transit is in Leo, conjunct Mars. Here we are culminating the actualization of our own needs with the exploration of our options of what gives us joy, a sense of purpose, and a sense of authenticity.
The evolution of Venus is to culminate the cycle of aligning our need for self-reliance with our true purpose and sense of authenticity to align with our new inner sense of self.
The past influence of Mars was to instinctually act through the extremes of relating to others to attempt to create balance in our relationships.
This has led to instinctively acting to discover our own sense of purpose and authenticity.Â
The evolution of the Mars function will be to instinctually act on completing the gathering of information about our reality to align with our true purpose and sense of authenticity in order to align the inner sense of self with the outer expression.
