The Backdrop:
Pluto Aquarius
The overall energy of Pluto in Aquarius is the desire of the collective and individual soul to confront, merge with, and transmute trauma mechanisms for self-empowerment. At its most basic, Aquarius energy refers to decentralization, or breaking free from whatever has limited the forward movement. Aquarius follows Capricorn on the astrological wheel.
In its most basic sense, Capricorn refers to the arc of development over time. It includes the crystallization, or the "making real" process associated with the Capricorn energy. It can also refer to the energy of protection, in that structure is formed through crystallization over time. This structure protects the soul until it outgrows it, and then it becomes a limitation for growth.
As Pluto moves into Aquarius, there is a need to break out of a structure that has become too cumbersome. Our current societal structure is this type of situation. It has prevented the individuality of the soul. In our existing structure, we are all expected to comply with societal norms that limit individuality. It leads to the marginalization of people that don't fit into the societal norm.
We experience many types of detrimental behavior because of these limitations: drug use, homelessness, and suicide, just to name a few. These are signs or symptoms of the emotional distress caused by nonacceptance and a society that has become too limiting.
The energy of Pluto in Aquarius is necessary for us to grow beyond societal limitations. For the next 20 years, we will experience situations that will encourage us to think and act differently. A way of being that creates more freedom to incorporate the whole of humanity's individuals.
The polarity point of Aquarius is Leo. Leo represents the fully developed self. It is the energy of self-validation and self-actualization. It aligns with creativity, that expressive energy that comes from within. Leo rules the heart; as such, it includes joy, play, and the inner child. Leo is the energy of the true self.
The true self is where the heart resides. It is the place of the unconditioned inner child. The being that we were before we experienced shame, being made fun of, ignored, mistreated, or in some way harmed.
Pluto conj. Mars Aquarius (2/13),
Pluto made an exact conjunction with Mars on the 13th of February. It marked the beginning of a new 248-year cycle in our evolution toward experiencing ourselves through the individuation process.
Venus Mars new phase to Pluto Aquarius
Last summer, Venus and Mars came close to conjunction in Leo. Venus retrograded to recover more Leo energy and self-value. Now, they conjunct in the opposing sign to begin a new cycle. Mars and Venus relate to how we complete ourselves within relationships. In a new phase conjunction, we are beginning to conduct ourselves in relationships differently. Aquarius emphasizes constructing ourselves in a way that maintains our individuality.
Mars and Venus are in a new phase to Pluto, which points to the shift in how we relate to one another. It is the first step in the Pluto in Aquarius saga.
Pluto, Mars, Venus square Jupiter
Jupiter is influencing Pluto by way of a last-quarter square. Here, the energy is a tension caused by bringing two different energies together. It leads to a choice. The new choice is a step forward in evolution. In this case, the truth about our values, how we survive, and the energy of breaking free offer a new choice. It suggests that to break free from conditioning, we need to make new choices concerning our beliefs about how we survive.
Mars and Venus are in the last quarter square with Jupiter also. The new way of completing each other in our relationships requires a divergence from society's beliefs. With the focus on our individual selves and the values Venus helped us reclaim concerning our true purpose during her retrograde in Leo last summer, a new choice concerning the new cycle of individuation that we embark upon holds tension for us. This tension is related to a divergence from the beliefs of the old social structure concerning the traditional way of relationships. We are learning to align with our own truths about how we are to survive and thrive.
Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Taurus
Jupiter and Uranus are in a closing phase conjunction in the sign of Taurus. Jupiter in Taurus relates to our personal beliefs about survival and values. At the same time, Uranus refers to trauma and a decentralization away from values and our survival. This closing phase signifies an end to our beliefs concerning how we survive and meet our needs.
Pluto Sextile Neptune
Neptune is the energy of dissolution and decay. When energy dissolves, it returns to the Source for recycling. When Neptune is in its own sign, it creates an intensity of that energy. Dissolving what was can create an intensity of emotions and an imagination of what might follow. The landscape of reality becomes diffused and unrecognizable.
Pluto, through Capricorn, ended many structures of our society that were no longer necessary for the evolution of humanity. Neptune dissolves the energy from those structures to return it to the Source.
The sextile to Pluto in Aquarius is supportive energy. As the old reality dissolves, it helps us free ourselves from the influences of the past. The lack of conditioning makes moving into our true nature easier.
NN/Chiron Conjunct Aries 2/11
The NN represents our future identity. It is the direction of emotional growth and inner security. Chiron represents a deep collective wound that must be recognized and worked through. The energy is intense with the NN in an exact conjunction with Chiron. It suggests that the direction of our emotional growth is associated with a collective wound. This wound is a sore place we avoid due to its sensitive nature. There is an intense reluctance due to Chiron's sensitivity and the anxiety of moving into new ways of being. The sign Aries itself compounds anxiety because it represents a new direction of self-discovery. As a collective, humanity carries deep wounding from our past associated with striking out on our own. Back in the day of tribal societies, it meant death. Today, we have evolved beyond associating every move with the group. Our nervous system has not yet caught up. This deep wounding must be recognized and reconciled to initiate our move toward showing up as ourselves.
The Full Moon in Virgo
This full moon represents a visualization and integration into our awareness of some details that need to be released. We may not have felt as good as others or less than perfect. It may have hindered our forward motion. We may have had our innocence abducted, experienced grief, and found deep meaning associated with the process. We may have disassociated from our experiences to avoid pain. What needs to be purged from our emotional world as we move forward in time?
Sun Pisces opposed Moon Virgo
The Sun in Pisces is a completion of self-actualization. We have expressed who we are in a particular way that is ending, and we are preparing to begin a new cycle of self-expression. We may experience a flooding of emotions, and our new purpose may be unclear.
The Moon in Virgo reflects a lack of inner security deep within our core. It is related to the abduction of our innocence throughout our lives, the grief we have felt, and the internal meaning we have gained from it. Through this insecurity, we develop competence as we seek to improve ourselves step-by-step through our life journey.
As the light focuses on the ending of a cycle, a way of being, we must see and integrate the depths of our experience. Where have we grown? Where do we need to improve? Where do we feel competent?
Sun Pisces conjunct Mercury and Saturn Pisces
Shining the light on completing a cycle of self-actualization is joined by other energies streaming in simultaneously. Mercury in Pisces refers to the closing of a cycle of perception. A way of seeing life is ending.
Saturn in Pisces refers to the structure of our reality that is dissolving and ending. Saturn is in a new phase conjunction with the Sun. Completing the self-actualization cycle is the beginning of a new structure of being placed in the void.
As the thought processes and perceptions come to a close, the self-actualization in that manner ends, and a new cycle of reality based on our own authorship is superimposed.
Moon Virgo opposition Mercury, Sun, Saturn Pisces
The Moon in Virgo relates to a sorting out and purging of that which no longer serves our sense of emotional security. As our outer expression culminates and we prepare to self-actualize in a new way, there are parts of our old ego self that we will not take with us into the future. They are related to thought processes, how we communicate, and a new way of placing boundaries to protect what we have perfected and are taking with us into the future.
Moon Virgo inconjunct Mars Aquarius
The purging of parts of ourselves that don't make us feel secure within ourselves is currently experiencing a blind spot with our showing up to break free from our limitations of the past. It is causing a crisis and requires an inner adjustment to resolve and move beyond it.
Moon VirgoTrine Jupiter Taurus
There is a flow of energy between our beliefs about survival and what needs to be sorted through and discerned. We hold beliefs about our reality that are no longer serving us. Our beliefs are central to what we value and color our perceptions.
Saturn Pisces sextile Jupiter Taurus
Saturn in Pisces refers to placing boundaries where none exist—in other words, creating your own reality. The sextile to Jupiter in Taurus supports the expansion of beliefs concerning our survival and what we value. What we believe becomes our reality.
Uranus Taurus square Venus Aquarius
The new phase of Venus in Aquarius is pointing to breaking free from our values and how we survive in the world. It is in a last-quarter square to Uranus in Taurus. Uranus in Taurus has the same energy as Venus in Aquarius. The last quarter square refers to moving away from the beliefs of the consensus and aligning with our own beliefs.
Uranus Taurus Inconjunct SN Libra
Breaking free from values that no longer serve us in a blindspot configuration to the SN in Libra. It means that we cannot see why, but crisis repeatedly crops up in how we relate to the world outside of us. It is due to an external value system. It requires an inner adjustment and a determination of our own values.
SN Libra opposition Chiron Aries
Our past way of relating to the world outside of ourselves, where we have deferred to the other, integrates the healing of a collective wound, showing up for ourselves. Integration looks like finding the middle ground between the two extremes. Where we have taken guidance from outside, we can begin accepting our inner guidance. It will heal a deep wound.
SN Libra trine Mars, Venus Aquarius
The past way of relating to the world outside ourselves is in a flow state with the new direction Mars and Venus are asking us to evolve. Beginning the individuation process will help us smoothly integrate the shift from the SN to the NN.
SN Libra sesquiquadrate Mercury Pisces
The past way of relating to the world outside of ourselves, where we surrender our own desires to the ways of the world, is experiencing increased tension from others due to the dissolving of the old way of thinking. Others may not understand the "why" behind our new actions.
What does it all mean?
It means that the Universe guides us to individuate, to become our unique selves. To do this, we must step into our hearts. The conditioning of the external world has swayed our minds. It will be challenging to see as Neptune is in Pisces, dissolving previous meaning and creating chaos within the outer world. The beacon we have is internal—our hearts. Over the next 20 years, we will learn how to listen to our hearts. We can begin by finding joy and becoming our authentic selves.
What we believe and value is key—thoughts, beliefs, values, and how we put them together for our understanding. A way of thinking is changing. The old way has ended, and a new way will emerge. As we change the way we perceive our reality, our beliefs will follow suit, as will our values.
Our conditioning has been to follow the lead of the outer world. It got us to this point in our evolution; now, it is time to grow beyond. During this significant shift, we are turning from an external locus of control to an internal one. It is where the heart comes in. Just as we can feel love, we can feel what is right for us.
The outer locus of control is this pattern that we are breaking free from. It requires us to feel from within the direction that is right for us. What brings us joy and happiness is the clue.
Our relationships will change. Where we have not come from our hearts and instead, out of fear or manipulation, will fall away. We will value ourselves, act differently, and believe in a different truth.
This Full Moon in Virgo is the integration of dissolving the old self and discerning who we truly are. We will do this by sorting out those parts of us that no longer fit.
