The New Moon in Virgo focuses us on bettering ourselves. As with all New Moons, it is the beginning of a cycle to align our internal worlds with the external expression of it. In the sign of Virgo, it is a time when we sort through all the information available and internalize our next move. Mercury rules Virgo. We can look at the Mercury placement to help us determine the direction of betterment. Mercury has resumed its forward direction in the sign of Leo. We internalize our true purpose, inner child, and joy.
Virgo recognizes the step-by-step process needed to achieve our goals. It is the adjustment system within us. With our purpose and joy in our sights, our adjustments will guide us toward achieving our goal.
Pluto ® Capricorn
Pluto is the undercurrent of evolution. It drives the direction, both on the collective and individual levels. Pluto has moved back into the sign of Capricorn. The retrograde motion allows us to re-experience an aspect of external control that we must confront and transmute to enable evolution and empowerment.
Capricorn represents the energy that crystallizes and makes the structure of our reality real. Regarding our societal structure or the external reality, Capricorn crystallizes the guiding rules and laws that maintain the status quo. Over time, the crystallization of our reality can become an energy that impedes evolution. Pluto has been moving through Capricorn since 2008 and eroding our reality's structure in preparation for new growth and new avenues to explore.
Capricorn also represents our emotional structure, which is created over time through experiencing life and maintaining inner fortitude to weather the tides of change.
Pluto ® inconjunct Mars Gemini
Mars is the lower octave of Pluto. It is how we execute the undercurrent on the earthly plane. Mars has been progressing through the sign of Gemini, where we are initiating a new perspective. The Jupiter-Mars conjunction occurring some weeks ago expanded our perception and the ability to act upon what we perceive.
Pluto has recently retrograded back into Capricorn to allow us to re-experience and grow beyond any lingering attachments. Acting upon our expanded perspectives is invisible to the past emotional attachments. The blind spot elicits significant crises that alert us to the need to self-adjust. This energy requires an internal adjustment to move beyond the past attachments and to act upon our new perspectives.
Pluto ® trine SN-Venus conjunction
The closing phase between Venus and the SN represents a rebalancing of the relationship paradigm, which seeks to find an equitable arrangement between self and other. Pluto ® in Capricorn is a revisiting of the previous locus of control, where we have been working on our boundaries and taking responsibility for our emotional growth. The trine between Pluto and the SN is a first-quarter trine where we are putting into everyday practice what began at the original conjunction in April of 2019 in the sign of Capricorn.
It started a new cycle of transmuting our outer control and self-identifying with that external control. This initial conjunction has allowed us to develop an internal locus of control. At the first-quarter trine, we are implementing the changes we made at the original conjunction. We complete our attachments to outer controls by creating a balance between ourselves and others.
Pluto ® trine Uranus ®
These two planets move slowly. The original conjunction in 1966 began the cycle of deconstructing our emotional attachments to the inferiority/superiority complex that has plagued our societies for some time. The civil rights movement in the mid-sixties is how it showed itself.
We have been in the range of the trine since 2021 and will reach the exact conjunction in September 2025. It will continue to be in the trine aspect until September of 2029.
The first quarter trine relates to implementing the changes we have made at the square. In 2012, Uranus was in Aries at the square. We intended to break free from society's restrictions and discover our unknown special purpose.
Pluto ® square Chiron ®
Both Pluto and Chiron are retrograde, pointing to the acceleration we are enduring to work our way through the healing of the collective wound that prevents us from following our purpose.
To understand the square, we must look at the original conjunction between the two in 2000 in the sign of Sagittarius. Pluto in Sagittarius is about confronting and transmuting ideologies on the collective level. It also encompasses the freedom to have our individual beliefs. Chiron in Sagittarius points to the collective wound we all carry that has prevented us from exercising our truths.
At the square, we are considering making different choices to put those beliefs into action. It is a wound because, throughout history, when we act against the status quo, we tend to endure ridicule, alienation, or even death. It makes us timid to act on our individual beliefs, yet this is the healing that we require.
Pluto ® Sextile Neptune ®
This sextile is accelerating our journey. Both planets are retrograde, causing us to look back in time to retrieve any missing perspectives to accelerate beyond them. Pluto and Neptune are still in an exact sextile, which shows that these two energies support each other. Neptune in Pisces is accelerating us by dissolving all previous boundaries and limitations that no longer serve our evolution.
Pluto in Capricorn is accelerating our evolution by empowering us to be our own authority. It builds emotional resilience and gives us the qualities we need to begin the process of breaking free from the societal structure that is limiting our evolution.
Pluto ® semisquare Saturn ®
Saturn is the current ruler of Pluto. Both planets are retrograde, depicting the acceleration and individuation from the bounds of the status quo that has become too limiting for our emotional growth. Saturn (r) in Pisces is accelerating our authority and emotional resilience amid the dissolving of external structures. Pluto (r) in Capricorn is accelerating the transmutation of our emotional attachment to the external structures.
The semisquare between the two refers to the original conjunction in Capricorn in 2020, just before the pandemic. The original intention was to begin a new cycle of increasing our emotional resilience and stepping into our authority. At the semisquare, we are starting the process of internalizing this energy.
Sun-Moon opposed Saturn ®
The New Moon in Virgo focuses on inner adjustment to incorporate our true selves. Saturn (r) in Pisces represents personal authorship superimposed upon the dissolving structure. Without external structure, we gain an internal emotional structure that assumes individual responsibility and emotional maturity to help keep us protected.
The gibbous phase opposition between these two energies allows us to adjust and integrate our adjusted selves into the social world.
Sun-Moon square Jupiter
With the New Moon in Virgo, we are beginning a new cycle of becoming secure by sorting through the expanded awareness to see what aligns with our purpose and joy. From here, we will develop a plan to achieve our goals and begin executing it.
This energy is in a last-quarter square with Jupiter in Gemini. Jupiter has been expanding our consciousness. It allows us to see the possibilities. The last-quarter square is where our beliefs diverge from those of the status quo. We must make different choices to follow our own truth.
The expanded awareness helps us understand where we need to adjust and the steps we need to take to achieve our goals.
Mercury direct Leo
Mercury recently resumed its forward motion after we adjusted our thought process in the sign of Virgo. The retrograde back into Leo helped us accelerate our point of view to see more of our purpose and joy.
Mercury square Uranus ®
Mercury, now resuming its forward motion in the sign of Leo, represents aligning the thought processes to our true purpose and where we find joy. Uranus (r) in Taurus is accelerating the deconstruction of our value system. The first-quarter square is a crisis in action where we must make different choices to align with our purpose and Joy.
The original conjunction in the sign of Taurus occurred at the end of May, when we began a new cycle of aligning our thought processes to our own needs and values. Uranus was breaking us free from values that no longer served our evolution. The new values concern our true purpose and joy.
Mercury trine Chiron ®
Mercury in Leo helps us align our thoughts to our true purpose and what gives us joy. Chiron (r) in Aries accelerates the healing of the collective wound that prevents us from aligning with our instinctual selves.
The first-quarter trine is where we put what we learned at the square into our daily lives.
Venus Conjunct SN
Venus is the planet of relating. It rules both Taurus and Libra. In Taurus, we internally relate to ourselves; in Libra, we externally relate to anything outside ourselves. At its basic level, Taurus is about survival, translating into needs and values. When Venus is out of balance, we tend to self-sacrifice our personal needs to maintain a relationship. This self-sacrifice is the basis of codependency. Venus, in the sign of Libra, is helping us to achieve a balance between our own values and needs against the values and needs of others.
The SN in Libra represents the past ways we have self-identified within our relationships, which means that we have seen ourselves through the eyes of others. Venus, in a balsamic phase conjunction with the SN, guides us to complete the cycle of self-sacrifice and learn to rebalance our own needs with the needs of others in a more equitable way.
Venus conjunct SN
While the ruler of the NN is square to the NN, Venus, the ruler of the SN, is conjunct the SN. This phenomenon occurs when there are elements of the past that still need to be resolved. In this case, identifying ourselves with anything outside of ourselves is what is being resolved. The balsamic conjunction suggests that a balance between our needs and values and the needs and values of the other must occur to complete this issue.
Venus opposite NN
The gibbous phase opposition between Venus and the NN reflects the near completion of the original intention.
The original conjunction happened in April when a new cycle began to align our needs and values with our future identity. We are nearing the completion of these changes and are ready to integrate them into the social realm.
We are ready to accept criticism from someone respected, and we will adjust ourselves to integrate a more balanced way of relating to the social sphere.
Venus opposed Neptune ®
Venus is the lower octave of Neptune. Neptune represents the source of all things. It is the oneness to where all things dissolve. As we complete a cycle and its remnants dissolve, we become privy to a higher meaning.
Venus in Libra represents how we attune to others and the meaning that it holds for us. The full-phase opposition between Venus and Neptune refers to the completion of the original intent in April when the two planets made a conjunction in Pisces. The intention was to dissolve the past way of attuning to self and others and to align with a higher meaning. At the opposition, we are learning how to listen to what others say. Certain key people may present themselves with messages that help us integrate into the social world.
Mars square nodal axis
Mars is currently squaring the nodal axis. It is the focal point where acting on our expanded perceptions affects the emotional growth between our past sense of self, where we were aligned with others to determine our actions, and the growth curve, where we rely on our instincts and sense of adventure to determine our actions.
The NN is our compass. To create a change, we must act on our instincts through new perceptions to become our future selves.
Mars conjunct Jupiter
Mars and Jupiter made their exact conjunction in the middle of August. Their meeting began a new cycle of expanded awareness and the ability to act on that awareness. As we complete the conjunction, we continue to act on different perceptions. It may look like becoming aware of something new and instinctually acting upon the new awareness.
Mars inconjunct Pluto ®
The inconjunct between Mars (acting on increased perceptions) and taking control of our own emotional weather by becoming our personal authority (Pluto) don't see each other. It is, therefore, causing crisis in our lives. The cycle between Mars and Pluto began at the beginning of the year in Capricorn, where we began a new cycle of instinctively acting from personal authority.
At first, we acted instinctually through trial and error. Later, at the square in Aries, we made different choices with our actions. At the trine, we acted on our needs and values. Now, at the inconjunct, we must adjust ourselves because everyone has personal authorship. We must learn how to put our authority into the social world equitably. It requires self-adjustment. We learn this through criticism and self-adjustment.
Mars square Venus
This planetary pair describes how we complete ourselves in relationships. It's about who we are attracted to and why. Mars and Venus began a new cycle in Aquarius in February. We wanted to act upon the need to free ourselves from past relationship dynamics.
At the first-quarter square, we are acting upon new perceptions through Mars. Venus in Libra asks us to make new choices to complete the old cycle. These new choices include our own needs and values in our relationships.
Jupiter square Saturn ®
Jupiter continues to traverse through the sign of Gemini until June 2025, when it will enter the sign of Cancer. Jupiter in Gemini adds expansion to the mind. It can involve travel. Travel allows the mind to perceive a different environment. It also expands our communication processes.
Saturn ® in Pisces is helping us to take charge of our reality. We are building emotional resiliency and personal responsibility while the external controls continue to dissolve.
Jupiter and Saturn began their new cycle in December of 2020 in the sign of Aquarius. The intention was to start a new, expanded cycle of breaking free from external societal beliefs and control and build emotional strength, self-discipline, and personal authority.
Saturn in Pisces has been dissolving the external reality at the first-quarter square. Jupiter has advanced into Gemini, expanding our consciousness, beliefs, and communication. New possibilities are presenting themselves. We must make different choices than we have in the past. Do we do things the old way or take a chance and try something new?
Jupiter square Neptune ®
Jupiter has moved into the range of the first-quarter square with Neptune in Pisces. Jupiter is expanding our perception of reality, while Neptune in Pisces is dissolving the previous boundaries of reality. The two are working in unison to aid in our individuation process.
The original conjunction between Neptune and Jupiter happened in April of 2022. The conjunction marked a new cycle of dissolving old, worn-out beliefs that no longer support our greatest good. We ceased to find meaning in the old belief systems, and Jupiter's expanding energy helped us align with a higher meaning.
As we approach the first-quarter square, Jupiter in Gemini helps us to expand our horizons concerning what we believe to be true. Jupiter in Gemini asks us to make different choices to align with beliefs that we perceive regarding the expansion. At the exact square in June of 2025, Neptune will be in Aries, and Jupiter will have ingressed into Cancer. We will find a sense of security in our new beliefs during this square.
Jupiter sextile Chiron ®
Jupiter in Gemini is approaching a first sextile with Chiron retrograde in Aries. We are beginning to feel intensity as we anchor into ourselves the support these two planets offer each other.
Chiron (r) in Aries refers to a wound that prevents us from following our instinctual directions and the healing of that wound. The energy accelerates the intention of individuating each of us and pushing us past the pain.
Jupiter in Gemini is expanding our perceptions. The two energies support each other. The expanded perception helps us to see beyond the wounding and heal from it. Chiron retrograde is accelerating the process.
The original conjunction between the two happened in April 2023. There, they began a new cycle of exploring new truths concerning how to heal the wound. At the sextile, we internalize the awareness of an expanded reality.
Jupiter sextile Mercury
Jupiter and Mercury made their conjunction in the sign of Gemini in June. The original intention was to begin a new cycle of aligning our thoughts to an expanded consciousness and what we believe to be true. Sextiles are supportive energy.
Mercury in Leo describes the alignment of our thoughts, how we communicate with our true purpose, and what gives us joy. Recently resuming its forward motion, it continues to place our purpose at the forefront of our thoughts.
Jupiter in Gemini is expanding our consciousness. We perceive and understand more. This expansion helps Mercury perceive more of what makes us happy and expands our perceptions of our purpose.
Uranus ® sextile Neptune ®
Uranus retrograde in Taurus is breaking apart what we have previously valued. On a personal level, it breaks us from the previous ways we valued ourselves. The retrograde motion accelerates us beyond our past values and brings us somewhere new.
When we have Uranus retrograde, we look to Neptune to discover what it's about. If Neptune is also retrograde, then we look to Pluto. Uranus (r) in Taurus then refers to breaking free from how we have valued ourselves in the past and bringing us to take back our authority.
Neptune ® Pisces is about dissolving all previous structures so we can begin anew. In the process, we find we have lost meaning in the old structure. We must look within to find inspiration and meaning. Neptune's retrograde motion is about Pluto (r) in Capricorn. We are dissolving the external controls to emotionally grow to accept responsibility for ourselves, gain emotional maturity, and take back our authority.
The sextile between Uranus and Neptune supports each other in that both planets are leading us to become our own authority.
Uranus ® trine Venus-SN conjunction
The acceleration of breaking free from our past value is in a first-quarter trine with Venus and a disseminating trine with the SN. Venus is ruling Uranus in Taurus and asking us to complete the cycle of attuning outside the self. The exact conjunction between Venus and Uranus happened in May. It began a new cycle of helping us break free from outdated values, including how we value ourselves. At the square in August, we learned to make different choices by attuning to our true purpose and what gives us joy. At the trine, we seek to put our choices into everyday practice.
Uranus and the SN last made a conjunction in 2015 in the sign of Aries. Uranus in Aries was about breaking free from the limitations of showing up for ourselves instinctually. The conjunction with the SN was about beginning a new cycle of identifying with breaking free from the limitations of showing up for ourselves spontaneously.
The disseminating trine is where we place the original intention into all aspects of society. Here, we are learning to insert ourselves into society with our identity, breaking free from values that concern self-identifying with anything outside itself.
Neptune ® conjunct NN
In the sign of Aries, the NN points to the future identity that aligns with its instincts driven toward self-discovery. Neptune (r) in Pisces is accelerating the dissolving of all boundaries and limitations that no longer serve our evolution. The balsamic phase conjunction is about the cycle between the two coming to an end.
The original conjunction between the NN and Neptune was in 2008 in the sign of Aquarius, just as Pluto entered Capricorn. The original intention, now ending, involved the future self breaking free from limitations and beginning a new cycle of individuation and the dissolving of meaning associated with societal norms.
What does it all mean?
This new Moon in Virgo means that we are beginning to sort through the increasing information and determine a plan to incorporate our true purpose and joy into our lives. Once we sort through what is for us, we begin the step-by-step process of self-adjustment. The world is accelerating as we move beyond our attachment to the dissolving societal system. In its wake, we are learning to be responsible for ourselves and our emotional weather. We are learning to take back personal authority.
We are evolving. Our consciousness is expanding. We are becoming aware of subtle layers of our reality and are beginning to act upon them. We value ourselves differently, which changes how we relate to ourselves and others. The past ways of codependency inherent in our dissolving social structure are ending as we seek equality in all our relationships.
Becoming our true selves is the key. Our inner child has been suppressed. We succumbed to the conditioning of our parents and prescribed societal roles. As society dissolves, we find it increasingly necessary to discover who we truly are. This is our inner child. The being we were born to be. The direction to follow is whatever gives us joy and satisfaction and excitement.
As our societies crumble and the external world becomes increasingly challenging, the quote," Be in this world but not of it," comes to mind.
