The Backdrop:
Pluto square the nodes in Aries/Libra
Transmuting our locus of control
Pluto retrograde in Capricorn illuminates the need to revisit how we have placed authority outside of ourselves. We have given the responsibility to the outer societal norms to dictate how we relate with one another, how we mature in ourselves emotionally, and how this translates into the freedom we need to take whatever direction is correct for us. Changes in this area are needed moving forward. With the south node in Libra and the north node in Aries. This energy encourages us to look at the past ways that we have identified ourselves within relationships and our inner desires for self discovery.
With Pluto squaring the nodes we are attempting to recover a skipped step in our path to evolve ourselves forward. Forces outside of ourselves determine a fair amount of our actions. Our societal norms, spouses, jobs, financial obligations, and religious beliefs, influence much of the way we act. A flip-flopping occurs between our instinctual desires and our relationship to the outer world happens because of this missing step, preventing the forward direction symbolized by the north node in Aries. Have we given our authority away to others in the past? Is it often easier to avoid an argument than it is to insist that our desires deserve equal weight? The way to resolve this is to focus on our past way of relating. Remember the way we’ve felt. Have we felt restricted? Now is the time to begin to take steps to fulfill our desires in a balanced way.
Chiron conj. NN
Healing through learning self direction
Chiron represents sensitivities we carry related to past wounding. When we become aware of this sensitivity, even though we can never rid ourselves of it, we can work with it to break free of its hold, and then share it with others to help them to heal. In Aries, we as a collective are sensitive to striking out on our own, doing what we desire without regard for anyone or anything. We have been so conditioned in this way, that we don’t do it at all. This has created the imbalance between self and others. The conjunction with the north node is pointing to our direction forward; spontaneous and instinctive behavior that is generated from inside ourselves. Taking that instinctual step forward is a sensitive issue, it will always be sensitive but being aware of it will allow us to push beyond. Then we can help others to do the same.
Pluto ® Capricorn sextile Neptune ® Pisces
Connection to spirit changes our control from outer to inner
The changing of our outer authority to our inner sense of agency is being supported by the watery planet of Neptune. Neptune brings us inspiration from Source. Neptune represents the totality of all that is. When Neptune is retrograde we are experiencing an acceleration of this connection to source for ourselves. We experience periods of meaning and no meaning as we vacillate between the inner and the outer world, ultimately learning that true inspiration comes from our divine connection to Spirit.
Saturn ® Pisces
You are the boss, how do you want it to be
Saturn is about our inner sense of authority through the creation of personal boundaries. These boundaries are protections that we put in place to be able to feel secure within ourselves. Our collective society, Capricorn, is such an entity. It is a series of structures and laws that have been put in place to keep humanity safe and secure from the uncertainty of the natural world. It creates our outer reality. Saturn retrograde is reflecting an acceleration of our ability to create our own reality, through setting boundaries, and taking personal responsibility through the growth of our emotional security. Pisces is the sign that represents the totality, both the manifest and the unmanifest. Everything that begins ends. It is the law of impermanence. Physics tells us that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change forms. So when something comes to its natural state of culmination the energy that supported it returns to the energy source…this is Pisces. From here it is available to begin anew in Aries. Saturn ® in Pisces speaks to our ability to take responsibility for ourselves, while the energy from the outer authority culminates. Like a shift from outer authority to inner authority.
Mercury/Mars opposite Neptune
Divine intervention and adjustment
Mercury is conjunct Mars for this New Moon and it opposes Neptune. Mercury is working on culminating its most recent cycle with Mars where they instinctively began a new way of perceiving the world and communicating its perspective. They meet in the sign of Virgo to communicate where there are improvements to be made. There is a need to integrate the inspiration of Neptune. To find meaning from within. Acknowledging the sensitivities that exist with respect to acting instinctively, we may experience an inner crisis and the need to adjust our thinking.
Sun/Moon Leo New Moon
Creating the new you
With the Sun and Moon in Leo, we are beginning a new cycle of self actualization. Our inner sense of self and our outer expression join to achieve a strength of purpose that emanates authentically from our hearts. We are embarking on a journey to gain inner security in our purpose; to find comfort and ease through our creative expression. Authenticity is the goal. There are intense alignments to help us in this endeavor:
Sun /Moon conj. Venus ® Leo
We have inherent value
Venus has recently stationed retrograde and is conjunct this New Moon to help us. Venus retrograde in Leo carries the energy of accelerating the relationship to ourselves and our true purpose. Venus is trine to the Chiron/North node conjunction which creates a state of flow toward our journey to self exploration and the discomfort that it may bring as we shift our authority from outer to inner and take a self directed step forward. Square to the Jupiter Uranus conjunction, that Venus currently rules, there is conflict and struggle to break free from the previous patterns of meeting our needs. Our values and beliefs are changing, we are learning to find value in our purpose and to relate to ourselves differently, truly valuing ourselves. In turn it will change the way we relate to others.

Breaking free to find ourselves
The New Moon is asking us to break free from the ways we have valued ourselves in the past. Together with Venus in retrograde we are accelerating our self worth. This is new for the image we have of ourselves, as we struggle to find our new sense of self. We are experiencing a crisis in belief with respect to our authentic expression. Can we be true to ourselves and break away from the values of the society to find our true purpose?
Sun /Moon inconj. Neptune
Finding our connection to Source
The new cycle in aligning our identity with our true purpose is experiencing a blindspot that is causing a crisis. The blindspot is associated with our connection to Source. Perhaps we are experiencing periods of no meaning and haven’t yet found our inner connection to the source of inspiration. An internal adjustment is needed.
Sun /Moon Square Jupiter
Believing we have inherent value
Our Values are deeply connected to our beliefs. We are experiencing conflict as the beliefs about ourselves that we have derived from outside of us are culminating. These beliefs are linked to our sense of self-worth, and whether or not we can meet our own needs. Venus retrograde is asking us to inwardly reflect on our own values to self actualize and to change previous belief patterns that we have held about ourselves.
Sun /Moon sextile SN
Taking a look backward before we move forward.
The SN in Libra speaks to our past way of relating to others and is connected to how we have inwardly related to ourselves. This energy is supportive of the inward gaze at our inherent self-worth and ability to self-actualize our true purpose. By looking at the past, we can determine what we don’t want in the future. This is the supportive energy.
What does it Mean?
It means that the Universe is conspiring to evolve humanity in the direction of individuation. The Universe needs us to be ourselves! The steps that are needed involve us discovering our self-worth, shifting to an internal control, and receiving our inspiration from our inner connection to the divine. None of this is easy. We are conditioned to do something very different. For generations now we have been taught to defer to the other, to follow the structure that we were born into. Many of us have had to submerge our true selves to a deep place within, a place that we have forgotten exists. We have experienced ridicule and shame when we step out on our own and do what is natural to us. The outer structures of the past were designed to keep the collective acting in particular ways that maintained a structure that has not benefited the whole of humanity on an emotional level, that has caused emotional complexes in many if not most individuals. We can heal this.
We are being guided to shed those layers and to discover who we are beyond the masks that we wear to fit in. This is a step by step process. Be gentle with yourself. The Universe has our backs!
