New Moon in Virgo 9/14 9:39 pm 21 deg 58 minutes
The Backdrop:
The backdrop consists of the outer planets directing the collective energies of transformation. Not much has changed in the scene since the Full Moon two weeks ago.
Pluto continues to be retrograde in Capricorn and is still squaring the nodes of the Moon in Libra and Aries. This slow movement gives us more time to transmute our emotional attachments to how the outer authority has dictated how we relate to the world outside ourselves.
Pluto squaring the nodes points to the need to recover a skipped step in our path to evolve ourselves forward. Forces outside of ourselves determine a fair amount of our actions. Our societal norms, spouses, jobs, financial obligations, and religious beliefs influence much of the way we act. We switch back and forth between our instinctual desires and our past relationship with the outer world because of this missing step, preventing the forward direction symbolized by the North Node in Aries. The way to resolve this is to focus on our past way of relating to people and things outside ourselves. To bring to the surface what has worked and what has not, and to begin to make changes that will aid us to move forward in the direction of the North Node in Aries.
Experiences will manifest in each of us differently, but the theme will be similar. It looks like decisions we make to keep the peace or to avoid an argument or judgment from another. Perhaps even to follow someone else's lead due to the fear of making an error alone. The South Node is giving us a review of those circumstances in new ways. It is this behavior that we can resolve to integrate our own needs to be present and to act in ways that are natural to us.
Pluto Cap sextile Neptune in Pisces ®
Neptune supports the change of our outer authority to our inner sense of agency. Neptune brings us inspiration from Source. It represents the totality of all that is, without the definition we place on reality. It can also be associated with delusion, imagination, and loss of meaning. When Neptune is retrograde, we are experiencing an acceleration of the connection with Source for ourselves. Have you had ideas about the possibilities that your future may hold? It is also the starting place to bring those dreams and undefined realities to the surface, to define and create. We may experience periods of meaning and no meaning as we vacillate between the inner and the outer world, ultimately learning that true inspiration comes from our divine connection to the Source. It supports Pluto and the nodal interaction, giving us space to dissolve the old way, imagine, and then create our relationships differently.
Jupiter ® conj.Uranus ® Taurus
Uranus ® in Taurus refers to breaking free from a past pattern of relating to ourselves that no longer serves us. This pattern evolved due to a shocking event in our familial and collective history. We are experiencing an acceleration to individuate from this pattern. It may appear as a surprising current event as well. It is associated with what we think we deserve or not or as something outlining our self-preservation. Jupiter is in a balsamic phase conjunction with Uranus. In this context, Jupiter refers to the acceleration and expansion of our beliefs and truths about how we have met our needs, how we've been surviving, and what we have believed about our worthiness. In other words, as the past beliefs come to an end, we can break free from the past patterning of poor self-esteem and break patterns that have been for our survival that aren't working for us anymore.
Saturn Pisces ® trine the SN, Opposition to Mercury ®
Saturn retrograde reflects an acceleration of our ability to create our reality through setting personal boundaries and taking personal responsibility through our emotional maturity. Saturn ® in Pisces speaks to our ability to accelerate the responsibility for ourselves. At the same time, the energy from the outer authority culminates, aiding the shift from external control to inner control. The trine to the SN speaks to a flow state in our ability to apply this inner authority to the past way of relating to others. The opposition to Mercury ® is an integration of the ability to focus on our mental processes to develop a personal point of view. The Universe gives us a time of introspection about how we communicate, integration of our authority, and a flow to apply it to how we relate to others— shifting from following someone else's lead to developing our own.
Chiron ® conj. NN in Aries
Chiron represents sensitivities we carry related to past wounding. When we become aware of this sensitivity, even though we can never rid ourselves of it, we can work with it to break free of its hold and share it with others to help them heal. In Aries, we as a collective are sensitive to striking out on our own, doing what we desire without regard for anyone or anything. This conditioning is so intense that we don't do it at all, creating an imbalance between self and others. Chiron's conjunction with the North Node guides our evolution. It is a spontaneous and intuitive behavior that comes from inside us. Taking that instinctual step forward is a sensitive issue; it will always be sensitive, but being aware will decrease our sensitivity and allow us to push beyond.
Yod configuration: SN Libra, Uranus ® Taurus, Neptune ® Pisces
The yod configuration is still present. It involves two crisis aspects. One is between Neptune ® in Pisces and the South node in Libra. They create an internal crisis that requires adjustment. We are not used to receiving our inspiration from within when interacting with others. We follow societal norms when relating to the outside world. Neptune is asking us to draw our inspiration from within. Following outer control is the cause of the crisis.
The second is between Uranus ® Taurus and the South Node; this crisis requires an external adjustment. We are breaking free from patterns of survival where we prioritize other's needs and values over our own. We have begun to realize the purpose, but power struggles with others may need adjustment to find balance.
The sextile between Neptune and Uranus is the supportive energy required to help us deal with the changes of the SN and ultimately helps us to integrate the NN. Neptune ® in Pisces brings us inspiration and guidance from within. Uranus in Taurus is breaking us free from past patterning of meeting our needs within relationships.
Mercury, Mars, and Venus
The inner planets oppose the outer and social planets, pointing to an integration pattern. The outer planets are all retrograde, indicating a time of acceleration and change for the collective. On a more personal level, each of us is experiencing a closing cycle concerning the way we see the world and how we decide for ourselves what is fact and what is fiction (Mercury ® Virgo); How we relate to ourselves and others in a way that helps us to self-actualize our desires (Venus in Leo), and a new phase of acting within relationships that allows us to be our own authority and to integrate an I AM HERE attitude in our relationships (Mars in Libra).
The New Moon begins a cycle between the Sun and the Moon. The Sun is how we self-actualize what is in our hearts, and the Moon is our self-image and internal world. The new cycle is in Virgo. Virgo refers to the archetype of the step-by-step actions necessary to improve ourselves. Where do we feel lacking? What is it that we want to improve? It is an excellent time to begin something that enhances our health and well-being.
Lunation opposed Neptune ®
The New Moon is in Virgo. This energy highlights a new way of taking in information and organizing it. It outlines a step-by-step process of adjusting ourselves. With Mercury retrograde in Leo, we see a repeated theme with the Sun. How will we adapt to self-actualize? The New moon is in opposition to Neptune ® in Pisces. It tells us that the inspiration comes from within. It is our divine connection with the Source. Things may be unclear concerning the new beginning, but Mercury retrograde has been giving us food for thought. We may experience some anxiety as we are on the threshold of change. And change is hard.
Lunation Trine Pluto ® Capricorn
There is an energy flow between the New Moon and Pluto ® in Capricorn. It gives us an evolutionary push to begin this new process of becoming our own authority by taking those first steps to adjust ourselves. Change doesn't happen overnight. It is a perfect time to take a tiny step forward.
Lunation trine Uranus ® Jupiter ® conjunction
Additional help is present with the trine to the Uranus/Jupiter conjunction in Taurus. There are old patterns to break that concern our personal needs, sense of self-worth, and future survival. At the same time, this New Moon is pushing us to begin creating new patterns and the process of self-adjustment.
Lunation Inconjunct NN
This alignment is highlighting our future sense of agency. Our ability to take control of our lives and to be present with ourselves is the direction of evolution for all of us. We may not see it yet, and because of that, we will experience some crises that require adjusting how we deal with others. A situation where we must create the space to place our new identities. We have power within us! Baby steps toward self-improvement are the answer.
What Does It All Mean?
It means that the Universe continually pushes us toward our intended evolution. The clue for this intention lies in the backdrop. We are being guided to step into our authority and see things differently than we have previously seen them. This New Moon is causing us to sort through all the information, to sort fact from fiction from our point of view, and to internally adjust ourselves concerning what is arising inside.
We've needed to review our thoughts when it comes to the information that we've gathered. Our divine inspiration is speaking to us. Through crises in our interactions, we turn inward to adjust ourselves. As we change on the inside, our relationships change on the outside. We are being guided to consider our truths and to break old patterns of relating to ourselves, which in turn break the patterns of relating outside ourselves.
Venus is now moving direct in Leo after a period of retrograde where we took a deep look into what was in our hearts, discovering how we would like to self-actualize, how to meet our needs, and how we survive in the world. Our self-esteem surrounding our ability to express our true purpose from our hearts can come to fruition. Mars, the planet of action, begins a new phase in being present with how we interact with the world. All we need to do is show up.
