Just two weeks before the Lunar Eclipse!  This New moon is preparing us for the changes to come.  All new moons are the beginning of a cycle.  The New Moon in Pisces is beginning a cycle of transcendence.  A cycle is coming to an end.  What cycle?  It is a cycle of experiencing ourselves, both the inner world and the outer expression of it, in a particular way.  We will take the memory of who we have been, having already dissected the parts of us that no longer resonate during the two weeks leading up to this New Moon.

Sun and Moon conjunct in Pisces trine Midheaven

When the Sun and Moon are conjunct, we begin a new cycle of self.  It includes how we feel internally and actualizes what we feel in the outside world.  In the sign of Pisces, we are speaking of the closing of a cycle.  We have completed the cycle of self that we began last year.  As the cycle decays, we may feel emotional flooding, mourning for what was.  We can also look back at ourselves and notice what has changed, where we have grown, and feel the anticipation of what is coming next.

This New Moon trines the Midheaven.  The Midheaven is the uppermost part of the chart and represents how we show up in the outer world.  It marks the 10th house cusp.  This cusp is associated with the Capricorn archetype.  It is the social world or our society; it can relate to our career or work.  It is also associated with our emotional development, where we learn resilience.  The trine is a flow aspect.  It is a low-stress integration aspect.  Therefore, the trine between the New Moon and the Midheaven refers to the ending of a cycle and the beginning of a new one, a low-stress integration into the social world.

Sun/Moon conjunct Neptune (balsamic)

The New Moon is in a balsamic conjunction with Neptune.  Neptune has been in Pisces for some time, reabsorbing the spent energy that Pluto created during its trek through Capricorn.  Through Pisces, Neptune is dissolving the previous paradigm.  The New Moon accentuates the closing cycle, where we can feel and begin to express it.

Sun/Moon conjunct Saturn

Saturn in Pisces refers to placing boundaries where none exist.  Conjunct the New Moon in Pisces, it is balsamic to the Sun, meaning that placing boundaries where none exist helps dissolve a way of self-actualizing and creates the beginning of the new cycle.

The Moon is in a new phase conjunction with Saturn, which says that the inner sense of self is dissolving to begin anew due to the placing of boundaries where none has previously existed.

Sun/Moon conjunct Mercury

Mercury moves into Aries.  It represents a new cycle of gathering information from our environment in a new way.  It is the beginning of a new perspective and a new way of communicating it to others.  With Mercury conjunct this New Moon in a new phase conjunction, it suggests that this new beginning of dissolving an old way of being and acting begins with a change in thoughts, how one perceives the world, and how one communicates those ideas.

Mars Venus conjunct square the Midheaven

Mars and Venus are still in a new phase conjunction.  This is a new cycle of how we complete ourselves in relationships.  The sign of Aquarius refers to breaking free from the societal restrictions that have bound us to a code of relating that no longer works for us on the individual level.  We must tip the scales toward putting our own oxygen mask on first.  In other words, we fulfill our own needs and then help to meet the needs of others.  This square is in a crisis in action square.  We must learn to make new choices in these matters.  As we stretch our capacity from acting in the old paradigm, it feels like tension within.

Mars/Venus square Uranus

The Mars/Venus conjunction shows how we complete ourselves in relationships.  It is in the last quarter square to Uranus.  It is a crisis in consciousness square.  The new cycle of breaking free from old definitions of relationships allows each of us to create relationships that fit our individual needs.  Uranus in Taurus refers to breaking free from worn-out survival methods.   It points to a divergence from the societal norm and allows us to follow our individual beliefs. 

Mars square Jupiter

Mars in Aquarius is in a last-quarter square to Jupiter in Taurus.  Showing up to act in a way that breaks us out of predefined roles is expressing a crisis in consciousness with learning to follow our truth and beliefs about meeting our survival needs, beliefs about what we value, and beliefs about our self-esteem, where our beliefs diverge from the beliefs of the societal norm.  This creates tension as we have an internal drive to follow our own beliefs.

Showing up to act in a way that breaks us out of predefined roles is in a flow state with the past way we have related to others, where integration flows smoothly from the past way of relating to breaking free from that action.

Mars sextile NN/Chiron

Showing up to act in a way that breaks us out of predefined roles is supported by the NN/Chiron conjunction, where we are emotionally striving to take a new direction and where the new direction is healing a deep wound.

Chiron/NN conjunct

The new phase conjunction has us beginning the process of stepping out instinctively.  We have the urge to explore new opportunities and experiences to see what aligns with us.  Stepping into a new cycle is healing a wound in our culture that has us doing the same things and focusing on the other.

SN inconjunct Jupiter

The past way of relating to others is in a blind spot with our beliefs about our self-worth.  It causes external crises as our beliefs may not align with others.  It may require adjusting how we deal with our relationships to find the middle ground.  Communication is the key.

Backdrop:

Pluto Aquarius

Pluto in Aquarius will form the backdrop of our evolution for the next twenty years.  Pluto in Aquarius is about merging with, confronting, and transmuting emotional attachments to being unique.  It also refers to transmuting trauma mechanisms for self-empowerment.  At its most basic, Aquarius energy refers to decentralization or breaking free from whatever has limited forward movement.  

Pluto's direction of evolution in Aquarius is Leo.  Leo is the heart.  It is the true, unadulterated self, pure expression from the heart.  It represents creativity and a special purpose.

Lunar nodes in Aries/Libra

The SN represents the past identity or sense of security.  In Libra, it refers to our past sense of security in relationships. 

The NN represents our future identity or sense of security.  In the sign of Aries, it refers to a new evolutionary cycle of self-discovery.

This Lunar evolution is helping us to evolve emotionally from reliance on others for our security to instinctual inner security.

Jupiter/Uranus conjunct in Taurus

Jupiter and Uranus are in a closing phase conjunction in the sign of Taurus.  Jupiter in Taurus relates to our personal beliefs about survival and values.  At the same time, Uranus refers to trauma and a decentralization away from values and our survival.  This closing phase signifies an end to our beliefs concerning how we survive and meet our needs.

What does it all mean?

It means that in the orchestration of the Universal intention, we are evolving toward breaking free from the societal structure that has placed limitations on our souls.   At the same time, the old system is dissolving.

For generations, we have been more concerned with the world outside than our internal worlds.   Our societal conditioning promotes and reinforces this.

Just before the Lunar eclipse, we are being urged to complete the cycle of attachment to the outer world and to begin focusing on our inner world.  It is associated with our changing beliefs, perspectives, and values.

This new beginning of dissolving an old way of being and acting begins with a change in thoughts, perceptions of the world, and communication of new ideas.

The New Moon is the reset button.  It begins with the culmination of the old self and integrating this into the social world.
