The Backdrop
Last year, in July, the nodal axis entered Libra and Aries. It was a time of beginning an intense transition for each of us from being directed from outside ourselves to integrating our internal desires and direction. As the nodes moved into Aries and Libra, Pluto was squaring the nodes at 29 degrees Capricorn, and we were confronting how much of our actions are guided by societal structures. Since then, we have been learning to assert our desires in our relationship with the outer world. It has caused lots of shifting for us. We may have lost friendships or partnerships or decided to change employment.
We are halfway through the nodal journey through Aries and Libra. Pluto has moved into Aquarius, where we are confronting our individuality. To do this, we must explore and incorporate the Leo archetype—our true selves, purpose, hearts, and joy.
Venus and Mars are important planets because they rule Libra and Aries, respectively. Venus has moved ahead of Mars and into the sign of Pisces, where she continues to dissolve and transcend how we relate to ourselves and the world outside of us. Venus rules the SN. Thus, she is dissolving the past way of identifying ourselves in the outer world.
Venus rules Taurus, which has part of its representation in the body and rules the senses. Previously, we looked outside of ourselves for survival. This current alignment suggests that that is ending. The pendulum swings toward looking inside, toward feeling what we need and value, and essentially allows the body to be the indicator.
Mars Rules the NN, the direction of our emotional growth. Mars is how we manifest Pluto's desires. Mars has recently moved into Pisces to dissolve the way we have acted in the past. Pluto intends for us to break free from our limitations.
Jupiter and Uranus are closing in on an exact conjunction. It is an integral part of the backdrop. As this energy is building, there is an increased intensity concerning our individual truths and beliefs about survival, including what we need and value and our beliefs about our bodies.
Additionally, in the background, because it is an outer planet, we have Neptune nearly completing its run through Pisces. Neptune, through Pisces, has been dissolving the unnecessary energy and adding it back to the Source. It can cause confusion, delusions, not knowing what is real, and flooding of the emotional field. It also allows us to supply new meaning and to turn inward for our guidepost.
This set of eclipses intends to create significant change and give added energy to affect this dynamic.
The Full Moon in Libra and Lunar Eclipse
The Lunar Eclipse presents itself with the Full Moon energy. It is intensifying the energy between the outside world and us. An eclipse occurs when the Full Moon or the New Moon are conjunct the Lunar nodes.
The Moon in Libra is conjunct with the SN. This alignment allows communication between our present sense of self and how we have seen ourselves in the past, much like recounting the past to use it as a springboard.
The Moon opposes the Sun conjunct the NN. In conjunction with the NN in Aries, the Sun shines a light on our future potential. It aligns our purpose with our future sense of identity. This is an integration alignment. We remember the past and choose the best parts of ourselves to carry forward into the future, where we align with our true purpose.
Moon opposition Neptune
While the Moon is conjunct with the SN, it also opposes Neptune. The Moon is reminiscing about how we relate to the outer world. It simultaneously integrates the dissolution of that past mode and the new energy of showing up for something different and new, symbolized by the Sun, NN, and Chiron conjunction.
Moon trine Pluto
This is harmonious integration energy. While the Moon dissolves our past way of relating to the world outside us, it simultaneously integrates a new direction. It is harmonious with the energy of merging with our individuation.
Moon inconjunct Mars
Mars has entered Pisces. We are beginning to dissolve the past way of acting on our desires. It is not visible consciously yet; however, it is causing a crisis concerning our old way of relating to the outer world. We are changing, and others may not understand. We may react with anger and be unable to associate it with anything. We will require an adjustment in the external world.
Moon sesquiquadrate Uranus
Expect a conscious crisis. It is related to breaking the old, worn-out patterns of relating to the world outside ourselves. We can see the cause but need an internal adjustment to cope with the crisis.
The chart shows a clog of planets in Pisces and another in Aries. This signifies the ending of one cycle and the beginning of another. The Eclipse is supplying added energy to push this reality forward.
Planets in the closing cycle include Mars, Saturn, Venus, and Neptune. Let's break this down. Neptune has been dissolving the landscape. Saturn is allowing us to learn how to create our own reality in the void by learning to create boundaries and personal responsibility for our reality. Venus is in a new phase to Saturn, suggesting that included within these new boundaries is the beginning of a new cycle of letting go of previous ways of meeting our needs.
Mars is the last planet to make its way to Pisces. Its function is to act on Pluto's desires. Pluto is asking us to break free of previously held boundaries, and Mars is beginning to dissolve the old way of doing things.
Mercury made its way into Aries first, leading us to change our frame of reference and begin seeing the world from another perspective. Mercury is conjunct with the NN and Chiron, and we can see that it is necessary to create our healing and future sense of self. The Sun is conjunct with the NN, which allows our purpose and attention to be on beginning a new cycle of self-discovery.
The Eclipse energy intensifies this intention. It supplies an added push to help us to self-actualize our new sense of self.
The energies will culminate in the next six months with the fall eclipses. Then, we will be able to see the results of this intense energy shift, which is hard to see while we are in it.
Sun conjunct Neptune
The confusion brought on by Neptune in Pisces is closing concerning how we begin shining our light in a new and instinctual way. Where we have lost our direction from within the old paradigm, the Sun shines a light on the direction: follow the instinctual drive from within!
Sun semi-square Uranus
The Sun in Aries expresses the intensity of beginning a new direction. It is both exciting and anxiety-producing because you don't know what comes next. It is the energy of trial and error, of trying new things and showing up for the experience.
Uranus in Taurus refers to an acceleration or breaking free from something that has been limiting our way of survival. The aspect refers to increased tension as the energy is about to begin the process of internalization. Thus, the tension is between the full-force experimentation and the slowing down to internalize what has been experienced. We may experience increased sensitivity or awareness within the body.
Sun sextile Pluto
This is supportive energy as Pluto in Aquarius refers to the individuation process or breaking free from the status quo. The Sun in Aries refers to a new direction of expression. These two energies help each other.
Saturn conjunct Venus in Pisces
Venus has recently spoken with Saturn and exchanged information. They each picked up what the other was putting down! In the case of Venus, it left Saturn with the end of a cycle of values and a way of relating to the self. It picked up from Saturn the ability to crystallize something new. This translates to a new cycle of Venus creating new rules for how we relate to ourselves and to others.
Yod configuration: SN apex, Jupiter, Saturn/Venus conjunction
The vertex or stress point is the SN, our past sense of self. It points to how we guide ourselves through the outer world or the other than self. The two inconjuncts are Jupiter and Saturn. These inconjuncts are blind spots that each contribute to the stress point through crisis. These blind spots require adjustment to relieve them. Jupiter requires an external adjustment, while Saturn requires an internal adjustment.
Jupiter in Taurus outlines the cultivation of truth about the body and the senses and our survival. It is a blind spot with the SN because our past self has aligned with the external for our survival. We now require a shift to the internal sensations. We can experience crises by continuing to follow the outer world. An adjustment to the internal world is needed.
Saturn/Venus in Pisces refers to placing new boundaries for survival. It refers to a solidification of coming into the body. It is a blind spot with the SN because our past sense of self was conditioned to follow what is outside ourselves instead of what's inside. This will cause a crisis and require an internal adjustment.
Chiron conjunct Mercury Aries
Chiron in Aries refers to healing a personal and collective wound concerning stepping out as an individual. Mercury in Aries refers to showing up with a new thought process and a new way of communicating your perspective. The new phase conjunction between these planets highlights a new direction of showing up to heal a deep wound of focusing on the self by changing a thought process into something instinctual and new.
NN conjunct Chiron, Mercury, Aries
This stellium refers to the future emotional growth curve, which will show up instinctually, requiring a change in thought process and language to communicate it. As a result, we will begin a new cycle of thinking about and communicating this new direction from within each of us.
What does it all mean?
It means we are at the precipice of a massive shift in perception. We have all focused on the world outside ourselves, but the inner world is where everything is happening!
Our bodies are divine instruments in which our souls reside. We have been focused on the outer world to direct us for eons, which may be where all our confusion stems from. The inner sensations are the key. Have you ever noticed that when you hear or see something profound, the hair on the back of your neck stands up?
We ignore many sensations that the body produces mostly because we haven't been taught to focus on them. Also, the outer world is a shiny, loud distraction.
This process needs cultivation. It is a new direction. As we close the cycle of the past, we are about to explore new realms. The new realms are inside us. It is the divine shift.
The importance of this Eclipse is to prepare us for the upcoming jolt into our bodies. Many of us will experience something profound concerning our bodies on April 20th when the exact conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus occurs.
